A colourful and controversial painter, sculptor, write and poet, who is now regarded as a legend in Cornwall, The New Forest and Dorset. Born in London he studied at Beckenham School of Art then Camborne and Redruth Schools of Art. He became a leading member of the St Ives artists circle and founding member of the Penwith Society of Arts.

Adrian Keith Graham Hill born in Charlton, Kent he was educated at Dulwich College, St Johnswood Art School (1912-1914) and the Royal College of Art (1919-1920) Serving in the army during World War 1 in 1917 he was appointed official war artist this resulting in the execution of 190 drawings for the Imperial War Museum.
When he left the army he became a professional artist and also taught art at Hornsey School Of Art and Westminster School of Art. In 1938 he was treated for tuberculosis at the King Edward VII sanatorium in Midhurst when he found that sketching helped his recovery. Later, occupational therapy was introduced at the sanatorium and he was invited back to help other patients recover by teaching them art.
